(got the above from AlmightyTopLeftApple %26gt; About this Mac)
The graphics card I have is the same one that all macbook pros came with that year. I also have about 15 GB of free space in my boot camp partition.
Currently, in bootcamp (windows 7), my computer is able to run the original Crysis with everything set to "High" in the graphics department, and it runs smoothly enough for me. It also runs Mass Effect 2 pretty nicely (feels like playing a Pixar movie!), runs Splinter Cell: Conviction on the max settings, and defaults to generally the "high" settings in Civilization 5 (although I have to tone down the graphics for that game so it doesn't lag late-game when stuff gets hectic).
I've read some stuff online that the 2010 MBPs can't run crysis 2 that well, but mine ran the original crysis pretty nicely, and crytek said that the new one will be less taxing, so I'd hope that mine at least could run on the high settings? Like whatever is above medium but below the max max ones. I'd rather not buy the game and find out the hard way that it doesn't work (I'd get the 360 version instead). I'm also not big on the multiplayer part - single player only for me.
Thanks so much in advance. Props to Crytek for giving us another (hopefully!) awesome game. Can my laptop run crysis 2 (for pc obviously)?
If you can play the original, you'll be able to play the second no problem. Can my laptop run crysis 2 (for pc obviously)?
Oh yeah, Crysis 2 looks much better than Crysis... BUT it isn't as taxing. Weird right?
You should be fine, for I could run the Crysis 2 demo beautifully, and play Crysis on all high settings as well.
